![]() ![]() Over her lifetime the Queen owned more than 30 corgis, all descended from her first, Susan, an 18th birthday gift from her father George VI. The family are said to have gifted her Muick while her husband Prince Philip was in hospital, while the Duke of York gave her Sandy in June on what would have been Prince Philip's 100th birthday, the Mirror reported. It is understood that Andrew and his daughters gave her Muick and Sandy in recent years and promised to take care of them if she died. Now at the £30 million mansion, the dogs are likely to have their own rooms and can enjoy the 21 acres of private gardens which surround the house. Her Majesty had stopped breeding dogs seven years ago as she was reluctant to leave any behind when she died.
